Classroom Donations

If you have extra candy after Halloween, I can take them off your hands or out of your house and use as rewards in the classroom.  Also from back in the day, if you have extra markers or crayons, I take those too.  Go Green!!!

Appointments
Our classroom time is very valuable.  I'm dedicated to teaching and re-teaching concepts.  If you need additional help, no problem, just set up an appointment.  Appointment forms are located in the classroom.  As a reminder, you should come with a prepared list of questions or concepts  for our appointment.  I reserve the right to deny additional help outside of classroom hours if class time is not used wisely.  You will have to seek additional help form a peer, parent, sibling, or professional tutor, not another math teacher.  As a reminder, I do not discuss grades during class, if you need to check your records against mine, no problem, just set up an appointment.  Lastly, if you just need someone to listen, no problem, just stop by anytime.

Calculator Buying Advice
Our department recommends a TI-84+ graphing calculator. You should invest in the calculator you plan on using for the PSAE exams in your junior year.  The mathematics section of the ACT is 60 questions in 60 minutes.

Department Grading Distribution
Semester Grade = 20% Daily Work + 50% Assessments + 30% Final Exam

Department Grading Scale
