The Choral News...
Welcome to a New School Year!
I
am thrilled to start another fantastic year of music learning here at
Lakes! We have talented students enrolled
in the choral program. We have
outstanding literature to be performed at this year’s concerts. We have exciting opportunities available to
our students… even outside our school such as the IMEA Honors Choir, the IMEA
All-State Choir, Solo & Ensemble Contests, IHSA Organizational Contests and
more. To get the most out of the LCHS
choral program… get involved! It’s going
to be a great year and you don’t want to miss it!
Students and Parents….Here is your first assignment!
1.
Read the Choral Handbook
together. This document outlines grading
procedures, concert attendance, additional opportunities for students and more.
2.
Mark your student’s concerts and dress rehearsals
in the family calendar.
3.
Familiarize yourself with the online Event Schedule linked
at the top and bottom of this page.
4.
Print a copy of the Choral Contract on page 7
of the Choral Handbook.
5.
Students
- return this Contract to your director with your signature and that of your
parent or guardian by Tuesday, September 2.
