Buffalo Wild Wings
Fundraiser - March 6
All students, athletes, families and fans are
invited to participate in a Lakes Community H.S. Fine Arts Dept. fundraising
event on , Friday, March 6th, 2009. Everyone is invited to gather at Buffalo
Wild Wings® 500 E. Rollins Rd., Round Lake Beach, for lunch, dinner or a snack.
On this day, 15% of all food purchases accompanied by the certificate below
will be donated to Lakes Community High School Fine Arts Dept.! See the Friends of the Arts web site for more

Alfred’s Essentials of Music Theory is available on every school
computer. If you would like a pass to
come work in the choir room, band room, or library, please see your director.
If you have questions about your
theory, feel free to ask your director for more help. They are more than willing to sit down and explain
things for you.
TriM Music Honor Society
Inducts New Members – November 20
Congratulations to the newest
inductees to the TriM Music Honors Society: Emily Acevedo, Kelly Basinger, Tyler Callese,
Callie Bretthauer, Jessi Gonzalez, Mike Jarrell, Kaity Kelroy, Thomas Knowles,
Carrie Kooistra, Elizabeth Madrzyk, C. Tyler McChristian, Alyssa Mol, Maddie
Nelson, Julija Vinckeviciute, Kari Yamamoto, and Tyler Zumbrock. For more information about TriM visit the

Four Students Selected to
be IMEA District 7 Choir Members
Congratulations to Alyssa Wittman, Mat Braden, Laura Gorski, and
Kaela Talley. These students were selected to be part of
the District 7 Honors Choir after a rigorous audition process in early
October. These students will travel to
Evanston Township High School on Saturday, November 15th to be part
of this select ensemble. Students will
rehearse throughout the day with a guest conductor and put on a performance for
the public that afternoon. Additionally,
two of these students, Laura Gorski and Kaela Talley, have been selected to re-audition
for the privilege of being part of the Illinois All-State Choir in
January. Congratulations to all these
students for their hard work.
