Course & Activity Guide Description
Antioch Community High School Course & Activity Guide provides the following course description:
Elective 10-12, 1 year, 1 credit, weighted
Architectural Drawing & Design Honors will study the same topics as regular Architectural Drawing & Design with the addition of the following: architecture of the United States, its inception, background, and changes. Other topics include Illinois and Chicago architecture and their influence, study of tributary area and the influence of the weight on the bearing points, fiber stress and the ability of certain materials to bear loads, and the place of living space in the life of our fellow man. Some of the above topics will be addressed through the form of a written report.
Prerequisite: Technical Drawing 1 and consent of instructor
