Course & Activity Guide Description
Antioch Community High School Course & Activity Guide provides the following course description:
Elective 9-12, 1 semester, 1/2 credit
Wood Technology is a beginning course focusing on the manufacturing of wood products and the use of wood as a construction material. Students will learn the following: the safe and proper use of hand tools, the safe and proper use of power tools and machines, and preparation for finishing of wood products. Students will learn how wood is used in industry for construction purposes. Project building will provide experiences related to occupations in the woodworking field. Materials for the projects may involve an additional cost to the student.
