My name is Ms. Bridget Sundin and I am thrilled to be the drama teacher at LCHS! I grew up in Palatine, IL and went to Fremd High School where I was active in band, choir, drama, and NHS. I went on to study theatre at Illinois Wesleyan University where I received a BFA in Theatre Performance in 1999.
After graduation I lived a typical 20-something lifestyle of those in the theatre. I lived in both New York City and Chicago and worked in various day jobs while pursuing acting, directing and casting. I was everything from a secretary, to a waitress, to a HR Recruiter, to a college admissions counselor. It was in that last role that I realized I loved connecting with students and helping them achieve their goals in an educational setting. I went back and got my teaching certificate and master’s degree from National-Louis University in 2005.
I started teaching at Lakes in 2005. I direct the fall play, the musical and the spring play as well as sponsor Thespian Troupe #7000. Talking about theatre and inspiring people to live their dreams is my favorite pastime! If you ever have any questions about how to become more involved with theatre at Lakes, please do not hesitate to call or email me. |
