Realize
Love Life.
Dance in a field of meadow.
Sun on my skin, warm and calm,
Makes me sleepy.
Chipper and happy,
Driving in the car with no place to go,
Feet up on the dashboard, wind in my hair.
Lying under the stars, wandering in the rain,
Rain dropping on your face.
Crying in the rain,
Not ready to make nice.
Bursting with emotion,
I realize a sad truth and my anger starts to build.
Time was wasted with you,
How could you be so cold?
Emptiness and dark clouds…
All is broken.
Determined to be happy,
Determined to do anything.
Life goes on.
All is calm as I gaze into his eyes,
Everything seems right.
Forgiving someone for their horrible mistake.
The beauty of final freedom.
As the night ends,
Stars in the sky,
I slowly realize how much I miss him.
Wish you were here,
It’s a long road home.
