Fan Bus - Students we have had a large number of requests to have a fans bus for the North Chicago Boys Basketball Game tomorrow night. The Lakes Eagles will play against North Chicago tomorrow night at 7:30 pm at North Chicago. This game puts the 9-0 War Hawks up against the 8-1 Eagles in NSC Prairie Division Play. The winner of this contest will have the inside track to host the NSC Champsionship game in a couple of weeks. Due to this being such a big Prairie Division Contest we are going to offer up the reuqested fans bus. Tickets to ride the bus and get into the game will be $5 and permission forms will be made available in the main office at the front desk today. You must pick up the
permission form today and return it by 10 am tomorrow to be able to ride the bus. A minimum of 25 students are needed for the bus to go to the game. The bus will leave Lakes at 6:00 pm and will return from the contest after the games are completed.
Are you Ready to Rock?!!! – The Lakes Battle of the Bands will take place this Saturday at 7pm here in the Lakes auditorium. We have 7 bands competing. Who will take the prize? $5 bucks buys your ticket to rock, Don’t miss it!
Attention all boys interested in playing tennis this spring: There will be an informational meeting on today, Thursday at 3:00 in Room C305. If you cannot attend, please see Coach Plinske or Coach Ingram.
Are you feelin Chili ? Sign up to enter Lakes Chili Cook Off which will take place Friday evening February 24th. We have room for 10 competitive chefs who will all enter their chili for judging. After judging takes place stay for entertainment and a chili dinner served with salad and rolls for just $5 per person. All money raised will go towards the Interact clubs summer trip to Tanzania where they will be helping children and poor families. Sign up if you think your chili has what it takes to win. Applications can be found in the Main Office and are due in by February 14th. 1st place winner wins prom tickets!
Office Help/Runners Needed – Students, we are looking for students to serve as office aids and runners during 6th and 8th period. If you have a study hall 6th or 8th and would like to be considered, please stop in the Main Office and see Mrs. Amelio
Temporary I.D.’s - Students asking for temporary IDs, you will only be issued 3 temporary ID's for lunch. After that you will be sent to your Dean. New Id's cost $5.00.
Are you interested in playing a spring sport? Make sure you have a current physical that covers you through the entire season and extracurricular clearance form on file before the season starts. Both must be completed and all fees paid to receive a spring eligibility card. Boys and Girls Track have started practices. Baseball, Softball, Boys Tennis and Girls Soccer will start on Monday, Feb. 27th. Boys Volleyball starts Monday, March 5th. Forms are available in the main office or on the athletic website. Eligibility cards are now available from Mrs. Moore in the main office.
