Spring Athletes - Eligibility cards for spring sports will be available in the athletic office starting Monday, March 8th. All required forms can be printed from the athletic web page or picked up in the main office. Attention Seniors – Seniors that are eligible for senior final exam exemptions must fill out a form that can be found in the guidance office. The form must be filled out by February 21st. Pick up a form in guidance today.
Jeans for Teens - Don’t forget to donate your gently used jeans for Teens for Jeans. There is a collection box located in the Main office. We’ll be collecting Jeans through next Friday, Feb. 12th. Don’t forget to pick up your Aeropostale 25% off coupon when you make a donation. Thanks for helping!
Attention ACT Prep students: The ACT rosters are now posted on the guidance window. Classes begin next Monday, Feb. 9th. There is a mandatory meeting tomorrow, Feb. 9th at 3:00 in the upper library for all students taking the 3:30-5:00 class and there is a meeting at 5:00 in the upper library for all students taking the 5:30-7:00 class. Bring your ACT book.
Want to show someone you care? Have a secret crush that you are too afraid to confront? Then make sure you buy that special someone a carnation during lunch hours in the cafeteria. Each flower is $2 or you can get 3 for $5 or 7 for $10. You can pick what you want the flower to say by choosing the color. Yellow: "You're my sunshine", Red: "I love you", Blue: "True Blue Friend", Purple: "Secret Admirer", Pink: "You're my Sweetheart." Flowers will be delivered to the lucky recipients during the day on February 11th. Flowers will be on sale in the cafeteria during lunch hours this week only!

Mosaic – If Brick loves lamp, then you can too! We need submissions for the 2010 edition of the Mosaic! This year the magazine is hosting its first annual contest called LAMP and we are looking for the best artistic work out there. LAMP stands for Literature Art Music and Photography. So get your submissions in by Feb 19 and be Brick's hero! The winners will be awarded at open mic night in March. Be like Brick and love LAMP.
Counting it up, the Lakes Math Team competed at the Antioch Math Invitational this past week. Ben Mol and Daniel Le posted second place finishes on the Algebra One test with Pat Chen, Shannon Miller and Erik Anderson finishing in 3rd for the Geometry test and our Varsity Relay team of Julija Vinckeviciute, Mitchell Post, Robert Nelson, and Eric Gillum taking 2nd. Congrats to all math team members on a great job!

Lakes Battle of the Bands – Thanks to all the bands that participated in the Lakes Battle of the Bands. All of the bands did a great job! Taken the Coast won the Battle and Answers to the Odd came in a close 2nd. Thanks to all those who participated and who helped in any way at the Battle. We raised over $2,000 that will go towards prom! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!
