General Information:


Use the Pass system to check your grades on line. Come see me if you have
forgotten your ID and Pass pin numbers. If you didn't get the opportunity to see your students progress
report, feel free to contact me for their ID/Pin numbers or their current
grades.



The late bus leaves at 3:50 pm daily by the PE doors. Be sure to have a
yellow late bus pass.

Stay on top of your classes, remember the no late homework policy!
Colleges  look at your entire high school career, not just one year.
Colleges and universities have also been known to rescind admission
decisions if you slacked off senior year.


Students always check your email for important information.


Check out  the CollegeBoard book titled "Getting Financial Aid."
It discusses  basic costs, average amounts of aid for students with and
with out need, as well as procedures and contact information.

When filing your FAFSA, never leave a box blank. Fill it in with
"n/a" ," none" or "zero" as to avoid leaving
blanks. We don't want the government to think you missed a question or
hold up the process.

the end of your junior year. You can do so by clicking on the ncaa link
below (under sophomore/freshman info). Do well on your ACT as it too
figures into your eligibility.

Think about finding your passion, take the career matchmaker on career

also research careers, search for colleges and scholarships and even
create a resume.

Find your major [ www.MyMajors.com ]mymajors.com  offers a short quiz to
help you zero in on your intended major. Check it out!

ACT preparation doesn't have to be boring! Check out [ www.freerice.com
]freerice.com You can select your subject  matter from English
vocabulary/grammar or math, chemistry, geography or even foreign language.

Sophomores get a jump start on preparing for the [

The PLAN test will be given to all sophomores on  November 4th. It is the
practice ACT test We also use this test for placement
purposes.

Think about building your resume. Work for an office (like the Guidance
office) or volunteer your time within our community. Create a resume by

and password is sequoits. You must create a portfolio first, then click on
create resume. You can also research careers to see how much education you
should plan for, as well as what classes you may want to take to prepare
for your chosen field.

Thinking about playing sports in college? Be sure to stick to your core
classes (English, math, science, social studies, and foreign language) as
NCAA required 16 core classes for Division 1 and 14 core classes for
Division 2. They also look at your grade point average and test scores.

Freshman

Get involved! School is not just about doing well in all of your classes,
but establishing future goals by exposing yourself to different electives,
groups, and activities. Try your hand at joining the academic team, art
club, Spanish/German club, DECA, try out for a school play or get involve
in one of the winter and/or spring sports. Come see me for ideas if you
are stumped! School is more fun when you meet new people and try new
things.

Stay on top of your studies. Ask questions, attend tutoring, use your
assignment notebook DAILY. It is much easier to stay on pace then plan a
come from behind victory! If you need help with organizing yourself come
see me during your study hall time.
