Policies and Procedures
- Practices
- Indoor
and outdoor practices will be held as outlined by your event coach.
- All
athletes are expected to be on time.
- If
you cannot practice as a result of injury, report to the training room
for treatment, then report back to your event coach.
- If
you can’t complete a full practice two days before a
invite, conference, sectional or state meet you will not be allowed to
compete. If it happens to be a
home meet you are required to assist your event coach in some way.
- The
only acceptable absences from practice are, school or tutor work, injury,
illness (must notify your individual event coach), or a family
emergency. Any unexcused absences
will result in missing the following meet. If you have three or more unexcused
absences you will be subject to meeting with the coaching staff and the
athletic director.
- In-season
strength training is mandatory. To
be eligible to compete in a meet, you must have completed your assigned
weight work out. (See event coach)
- Alcohol
and Drugs
- Athletes
will refrain from the following
- Possession,
consumption, purchase, or sale of tobacco products
- Possession,
consumption, purchase of alcohol
- Possession,
consumption, purchase of steroids or other controlled substances,
look-alike drugs or related drug paraphernalia
- Acts
of violence in or out of school
- Attending
parties where underage drinking is happening
- Hazing
in any way in or out of school
- Harassment
of any athlete or activity member

1st offense- Miss two meets, parent call
ii.
2nd offense- Miss four meets, parent/ coach/
athlete/ athletic director meeting
iii.
3rd offense- Dismissal from team
- Equipment
- All
school equipment checked out to you becomes your responsibility. You will pay for anything lost by you,
no questions asked. Prices:
- Poor
sporting behavior
- This
conduct will not be condoned. Your
immediate removal from the meet or practice will take place. If your conduct happens a during or
after a meet you will be suspended from the next meet
- A second
offense in the same season will be grounds for removal from all remaining
meets.
- Swearing,
throwing of items, inappropriate gestures all fall in this category.
