Using Audacity

1. Open the program by going to: Start —> Programs —> Multimedia —> Audacity.

2. Turn up the volume of your microphone here:

3. Use these buttons to control your recording:                                                                                                    jump      play     record    pause     stop       jump                                                                                          to beginning                                                   to end

*If you ARE NOT satisfied with your recording, delete it by clicking the X —>

*If you ARE satisfied with your recording and are ready to turn it in …      - Go to File —> Export as MP3.      - Name your file (per your teacher's instructions) & click Save.     - When this appears, click OK.

* You are now ready to put your file in the the Turnin Shared Folder. (Don't forget to make a new folder first!)
