Digital stories provide students with the opportunity to tell a story using audio, video, music, and still images.

Using Photo Story 3

Equipment Needed:

- Computer

- Digital storytelling software (e.g. Photo Story 3, VoiceThread, etc.)            * Note: Photo Story 3 is a free Microsoft download for PCs with Windows XP.  VoiceThread is a free website.

- Images

- Sounds/music/audio narration

- Microphone to record audio

- A story to tell!

Planning the Project:

1.  Select a topic, an audience, and a purpose for the story.

2.  Select images & sounds (sound effects, music) to help you tell your story.

3.  Write a script & use a storyboard to organize your story.

4.  Start your story in a digital storytelling software (like Photo Story 3).
